Geography

The geography of Loka has no oceans but large lakes dot the entire landmass. Most of the terrain is covered in tall thin jutting mountains. Atmosphere here is breathable but thin mainly due to the planet being tidally locked to it's sun. Planet life only grows along the solar equator where the dark side and light side of the planet meet. Venturing too far from the equator will result in extreme cold or hot unlivable temperatures but in the space in between temperatures are moderate and bearable. Strong winds whip through mountains.

Fauna & Flora

Trees tall and thin dot the landscape everywhere the temperature is normal. The trees are strangely bendy and strong, but difficult to chop down or break. SSS Corp has found ways to stiffen the wood once chopped down, using the wood to create extremely durable melee weapons. They refer to the product as Shakti Wood.

History

Loka was settled first by SSS Corp because it was believed having cities nestled in between the tall rocky mountain formations would make them hard to attack.

Tourism

Most tourism here is for scientific purposes, trying to understand how the plant life here can give the entire planet a breathable atmosphere. There are hopes that understanding how the plant life can give off this much oxygen will allow for a possible future of terraforming uninhabitable planets.
