Victory's March

Overview

Victory’s March is an old and powerful guild for gladiators, jousters, and other entertainers to perform and prove their skill. The guild’s influence can be found all over Aeziron, with coliseums constructed in several different towns, both on land and in water.   With origins in Agyra after the Brothers' War, the guild is naturally follows the tenants of Iroas. The coliseums also act as a temple to the victory god, although none of the guild’s members are obligated to worshipping him.

History

Temple of Triumph (10 AKD.) A dark time followed Agyra after the Brother’s War. Although Mogis’ followers were gone, the terror they caused was not forgotten. Many people lost their homes and families during the war, and it would take years for people to recover. Argyra's victory was bittersweet.   In hopes to bring Argyrans some joy, Captain Laantra Zigraeh established the Temple of Triumph in Storm’s Peak. In this amphitheater Zigraeh would host athletic competitions, which turned out to be a huge hit among the people. Soon enough, people from all over Argyra came to watch and compete in these tournaments.   Victory March’s Founding (18 AKD). Years after the Temple of Triumph’s success, Zigraeh decided to establish more amphitheaters across the nation. With these she also established Victory’s March, a guild of athletes and other performers that would help maintain these ampitheaters.   The Ioran Games (120 AKD). To celebrate the anniversary of Iroas’ victory in the Brother’s War, Victory’s March decided to create the Ioran Games. Every ten years, the Temple of Triumph would hold a grand tournament with even grander rewards. Here all types of athletes, gladiators, and performers would participate in all sorts of categories.   To this day, Victory's march still stands as a well known and powerful guild.
