Velkin Scalebane

(a.k.a. Kunnad)

Deep within the darkened realms, there existed a dragonborn named Velkin Scalebane, who, unlike his kin, did not revere the traditional dragon deities. Velkin 's path diverged into the shadowy domain of the Void Titan Voranthrax, an ancient and malevolent force that hungered for the destruction of creation itself.   Velkin's tale began in the desolate wastes, where he endured a harsh and unforgiving childhood. His clan, once powerful and prosperous, fell victim to a devastating plague that swept through their territory. In the throes of despair, Velkin witnessed the skeletal hand of Voranthrax reaching out to him in a fevered dream. The Void Titan whispered promises of strength, vengeance, and a world remade in darkness.   Embracing this dark allure, Velkin dedicated himself to the cult of Voranthrax. The Void Titan's teachings fueled his rage, transforming it into a formidable power. Velkin believed that only through the annihilation of the current order could a new, more potent world emerge.   Voranthrax, a being older than time itself, sought to consume the essence of gods and mortals alike, absorbing their power to become an unstoppable force. The Void Titan's tendrils extended into Velkin's very soul, intertwining with his draconic heritage. The once vibrant scales of his kind shifted to an darker shade of midnight blue, and his eyes glowed with an otherworldly, violet light.   As a devoted follower of Voranthrax, Velkin saw in the corruption of the ancient forest an opportunity to both please his dark master and spread chaos. The Void Titan's influence guided him to eliminate Kunnad, a cleric who sought to preserve the delicate balance of nature. Voranthrax reveled in the disruption of such harmony, and Velkin, fueled by his newfound power, became the instrument of chaos.   Driven by an insatiable hunger for destruction and a desire to prove his worth to Voranthrax, Velkin infiltrated the sacred forest, leaving death and decay in his wake. The encounter with Kunnad was a clash of ideologies — the cleric representing the order of nature, and Velkin embodying the chaotic void.   With a roar that echoed the whispers of Voranthrax, Velkin engaged Kunnad in a battle that shook the very roots of the ancient trees. In the end, Kunnad fell, his life force absorbed by Velkin and offered to the insatiable appetite of the Void Titan.   Now, having completed his dark mission, Velkin sought to harness the corrupted power of the ancient forest for Voranthrax's glory. The cult's whispers guided him to pose as the deceased Kunnad in the human village of Keld...

"Day 32: The Church of the Wandering Saint, self-proclaimed paragon of righteousness. They spew their dogma, blindly following archaic rules and rituals, condemning those who dare to question their authority. Their hypocrisy sickens me. They claim to serve the divine, yet their hearts are black with corruption. I will expose their lies and bring true enlightenment to the world."
"Day 49: Voranthrax's teachings have opened my eyes to the true power that lies within. His guidance has shown me the path to transcendence, beyond the limitations imposed by the Church. Its words resonate deep within my soul, fueling my desire for change. Together, we shall reshape the world, tearing down the false idols and replacing them with the true essence of divinity."
"Day 67: The Church's influence spreads like a disease, infecting every corner of society. Their control must be broken. My master has bestowed upon me a great responsibility—to challenge their authority and expose their twisted ways. In his name, I shall gather those who have seen the light and forge a new order, one that embraces the power of the divine without the shackles of blind obedience. Our time is near, and the world shall tremble before us."
