Ashfiends
Ashfiends are entities born of fire, their very essence radiating heat and destruction. They take on forms that range from diminutive, humanoid shapes to colossal, winged titans, each bearing the unmistakable marks of their fiery nature. Their skin resembles cracked, molten stone, glowing with the intense energy coursing beneath the surface. Flames wreathe their bodies, dancing and flickering as though alive, and their molten eyes burn with an otherworldly intensity. Ecology and Habitats
While volcanic craters and sun-scorched wastelands are their most well-known habitats, Ashfiends are equally at home in environments that support or enhance fire. Dry grasslands, where a single spark can ignite an inferno, and coal mines, brimming with flammable veins of ancient fuel, are perfect havens for these fiery creatures. They are often seen in the wake of destruction, drawn to battlefields and razed settlements where fires rage unchecked. To them, such places are more than homes—they are sources of sustenance and power.
Behaviour
Driven by an insatiable need to consume heat and energy, Ashfiends are cunning hunters, methodical and relentless. They are drawn to places rich in combustible materials or prone to flame, such as dry grasslands, coal mines, or parched forests. Smaller Ashfiends hunt in packs, using their agility and fiery nature to corral prey into devastating ambushes. Their larger kin dominate through sheer force, descending from above or lumbering across the land to crush and burn anything in their path. Ashfiends possess an eerie patience, capable of stalking their prey for days, waiting for the opportune moment to strike, often leaving their victims no chance to flee.
