Sometimes referred to as Oil Piercers, they hunt Leviathans for their blubber, meat, bones, and most importantly, their oil.

The Oil and The Wall

The Oil

Oil, also referred to as Leviathan or Blood Oil, is the blood of the leviathans who dwell deep in the void sea. The oil is what powers the buoys that repel the leviathans back into the void sea. They live in Leviathan City in Prethos. The Blood Drillers themselves are paid by the Empire and given housing in one of the inner walls.

The Wall

What is colloquially known as 'The Wall' is really a series of dams and walls designed to keep Leviathan City safe from it eponymous creatures. There are multiple factions that live inside the walls. On the outermost wall there are those who are charged with protecting the city from attack known as Wall Guards; Pink Fishermen live in the second wall their ships are lifted out of the water when they are not manned; And finally on the inner most wall live the Blood Drillers who cut up the Leviathans into meat to be canned, bones for scrimshaw and oil for power.
