Slime Aetherite
While basic elemental aetherite is uncommon more specialized versions can be found on occasion and such is Slime Aetherite. When used in a device to draw out aether the resulting slime can come out in three varieties but not at once. A sticky, a sliperty, and a bouncy variant. This can create a variety of uses in aetheric devices from flexible materials, lubricated surfaces, or even welded together surfaces. Once a slime of an aetheric type is summoned from the ore its type can't be changed.
Properties
Material Characteristics
The aetherite itself is standard affair as far as that goes a simple crystalline structure of a light greenish hue. What comes out of it when stimulated with an aetheric force is a slimy mucus substance that can take on a variety of properties from sticky, to slippery, to even bouncy. The color of those effects range from yellowish green for sticky to a bright and translucent green for bouncy.
History & Usage
Everyday use
The common uses for slime aetherite is to produce slime that can be used for a variety of uses from adherence, lubrication, or even a flexible material.
Industrial Use
In industrial use the adhesive properties are used to cement items together that don't accept other types adhesives or where using them is impractical. The slime produced can also be a very slick lubricant that is very durable and doesn't break down as often as other lubricants. Its bouncy properties not unlike that of some rubbers used to create flexible joints for various devices and use cases.
Refinement
Refinement by the application of aether can cause the aetherite to ooze a slimy substance that then congeals to its final form. The crystal itself is quite firm and can be brittle if dropped in the right conditions.
