Queendom of Apistolia
Far from Kyana, and far too close to Far Oasis and the Intersector Gate, there is a cluster of systems controlled by the Empire of Apistolia, a soveriegn interstellar nation consisting entirely of sentietn wasps. The nation is ruled by their mighty Queen, and her many princesses.
Relations
To say that relations between the Federation adn the Queendom are strained seems to be an understatement. The Wasps recognize no authority outside fo their queen, nor d othey respect any rights not granted by her. The Federation needs to contan teh Queendom in the systems ti already controls, let ti cut off their acess to the Intersector gate. Wasp Types Queen
The current queen is named Vespoidea. She is the tallest, and strongest of the waps, and with her huge abdomen, she lays the majority fo the queendom's eggs, thus most wasps hatch on their homeworld of Apistolia. Queens rarely leave their sprawling palace, but steady improvements in technology have helped them to learn more about teh outside world, adn keep in contact with subordinates in distant places. Princcess
There are currently ive princesses who extend the authority fo the queen to new systems. Each one controlls a system of her own. Princesses are not as large as the queen, but they are still larger than workers and warriors. They occasionaly become fertile adn can produce some eggs of their onw, but not nearly as many as teh Queen. Warriors
Around 20% of Wasps are warriors. These ladies tend to have thicker chitin armor and longer stingers than the workers, and they tend to stand a bit taller as well. They tend to be calm and decisive in battle, and if necesary, they will make teh ultimate sacrifice for the hive. Workers
The bulk of the wasp population ismade up of workers. They are lightly armed, adn have small stingers, but they are strong and intellgient. They do everything except fight, and sometimes they will even fight, if they have to, or fi the Queen or a princess presses them into service. Drone
All fo teh wasp types listed above are entirely female. Every last warrior, and every last worker is female. Drones, who make up an incredibly tiny percentage of the population, are the only males. They are teh smallest and weakest, except for their huge, cum-filled absomens. They usulally have poor intelgience, and are mainly only good for their one task in life, which is to inseminate the Queen, or one of the Princesses, after which, they invariably perish, due to the grueling nature of the long mating process, and their weak, fragile bodies. Myths adn Misconceptions
Despite popular beleif, the Wasps are not a hive mind. There is no telepathic connetion between them. Their obeidence to authority is hard-wired, however. On thei rown time, workers and warriors can explore their individuality, and live cultrually-rich lives, creating and enjoying art, music, dance, games and sports. Despite not being able t oreproduce, warriors and workers can still experience attraction, romance, and lust. Homosexual relaitonships between them are common. See also
