Session 42
Friends in Low Places
- Baxton agreed to help free Isaiah from The Albatross. In exchange, the party agreed to help try to keep Annu off of Sol's tail: apparently, Baxton thinks that he has some sort of control over Sol now.
- During this encounter, Dazki noticed an invisible presence skulking about and confronted Baxton about it. As usual, Baxton deflected, but it did bring him around to the point.
- Dazki suggested to Baxton that he may know a name of a potential ally for Baxton.
- Baxton: the wise and thoughtful always get what they want, be it a nice tailored coat or a useful pawn in a convenient location.
- Baxton: Have you ever tried to get an elven tailor? Elves are always late.
Dazki: I'd say that humans are always early.
- It's been a while since Tilda and Wendi had their falling out, and Wendi hasn't been seen for a while. The party is concerned that something might have happened.
- Wendi apparently ran off with some friends from the Rubymist clan, which is the same clan that betrayed Dwardazik.
- When asked if she had any idea where Wendi or her Rubymist friends might be, Tilda responded with, "I don't know where every dwarf goes!!".
- Without much else to go on the party figured that they might try to go to the shop where Dwardazik got ambushed earlier on.
- Tilda: Don't bring her back until you talk some sense into her!
- According to Morn, Annu was apparently an elf and "smelled of death and rawhide" even before. It sounds like he hasn't changed much.
- Morn does not seem too concerned about what's going on at the surface. He claims that it's because he's stuck down here, and so he can't do anything about it.
- Dwardazik: I'm a dwarf, I could get you out of here in as little as a year or two!
Morn: as if I would put my fate into the hands of one dwarf, when Pelor himself watches over my fate.
- Grogery: When Pelor calls upon us, it is not to do what is easy, but to do what is right. I hope that, when you are freed, you will heed this.
Party-to-Party
- Dwardazik and Kesmet reminisced about their personal backstories, with Dwardazik frustrated over being exiled from his clan.
- Kesmet: nobody wastes resources trying to assassinate the least important member of the clan.
- The kobolds have been putting Pelor's symbol on flyers and passing them out, but they might be a bit too eager -- now it just seems like litter.
- Some kobolds were playing a dice game called "Sho'Vothar".
- The group wants to try to play both sides (Annu Adabra and Baxton Mandrim) against one another.
- It looks like some guards really gave The Spire of Beasts a run for its money; by the time the party got here, the outside was like a ghost town.
