Dr. Finnigan Perry was a prolific researcher who wrote about a wide range of topics. He was primarily an archaeologist, but to him, there was no such thing as an irrelevant detail. A new plant species can cause the rise (or fall) of an entire civilization, if the circumstances are right. A famous unflattering painting of the leader of a rival country could shape public opinion. "Nothing interesting happens by itself", Dr. Perry would say, so the only way to truly understand a group of people was to leave no stone unturned and delve into every facet of their lives. Accordingly, he has published many books about a whole host of topics, many of which are only tangentially related to any particular historical artifact.

Scholarly Career

Dr. Perry has no long-term colleagues that he regularly references. He attended both Lummaria University and Hawksfjord University at the Capital, and he held tenured positions at both, but once he earned enough money and notoriety from his published works (and any treasures that he may or may not have found along the way), he was able to move into taking more freelance and self-directed work, where he could have more control over his work's deadlines and scope.
