Session 22: A Tall Order
General Summary
Previous Session: Session 21: Thief of Good Fortune
The Lads went to the inn on Guild Street, Ariel's, where they are greeted by the lovely receptionist and owner of the establishment.
Jaraleto requests 7 beds and is given the keys to 3 rooms. At first the rooms face the back of the building, but Jaraleto trades them for ones facing Zesto's Finest.
Afterwards, the party enters the bar and eatery while Hettle stands in the front entrance.
Jaraleto, Willow, and Muda go to the bar to order drinks from a burly bartender named Thompson. Glen, meanwhile, goes to the open buffet and indulges in steaks.
Thompson tells the Party about himself and Ariel's - Ariel was lucky to be the first inn in Norlun, and Thompson was lucky that Ariel took pity on him at his lowest point.
After some drinking and eating, the Party goes to their rooms while Hettle goes to Agomal's alone.
At Agomal's, Hettle asks him if the people that receive his treatment are different without their memories, but Agomal assures him that they are still the same after the procedure.
Hettle also asks if it is possible to keep the memories some other way, to still keep them with him, but Agomal tells him that is not possible.
Hettle says he will think about it and decide at a later time. They bid each other farewell before Hettle returns to Ariel's, rejoining the party.
While waiting for nightfall, Willow sits by the window in his room keeping an eye on Zesto's Finest.
In the many hours of surveying, he notes 3 individuals entering through a large door on the right-side of the building.
The Party comfortably sleeps through the night in their rooms. In the morning, they gather in the eatery and plan their move on Zesto's Finest.
Their plan is to dress Muda up in rich garb and pass him off as the famous and fabulously wealthy champion, King K'aang, looking to make a huge order for statuettes of himself.
Hettle would join him as his squire, and Muda would use the massive order as an excuse to see Zesto himself and how their operation works.
Hettle conjures an expensive crown for Muda, and the Party gives Muda 570 GP total as an order deposit.
Muda makes an excuse for him appearing in the shop earlier that day in his common clothes, and requests an order for 100 fine statuettes of himself to the receptionist.
She leaves and goes up the stairs, returning with Zesto Finesto.
Upon hearing Muda's name, he recognises the famous King K'aang and expresses his admiration for the champion in Zesto's youth.
Muda convinces Zesto to have a private conversation with him regarding his order, and Zesto leads him up the stairs and to his office guarded by an Acrusian Champion.
After the talks, Muda gives Zesto 500 GP as a down payment for his 1000 GP order, which he says will be ready in 2 tendays.
They exit the office and return to the lobby, Hettle giving the receptionist the gold before they leave Zesto's Finest.
