Kish'lagg, Avatar of Savagery

"That fucking thing scratched me! I was happy to cleave his arm off with the same sword that cut down tens of 'em before. Those inhuman cries brought me at least some joy that eased the pain of my injuries for a little. I went for another swing but he already fled deeper into the woods. I followed, determined to silence his screams of agony in repentance for those he slaughtered only moments ago. I couldn't believe it. For missing an arm he moved quickly through the brush and trees. I was lucky to even see him him as long as I did. Iit must have been 5 minutes before lost sight and gave up. I had no idea where I was, having never gone this far into the forest, but I found a clearing. I stabbed my bloodied sword into a downed tree, angry that I let him slip away. I began to feel my grievous injuries again, so I rest for a moment, but before I could sit down I heard a sound like nothing before. It sounded like the screams of hundreds of creatures, all at once. I could feel its screech reverberating through my body as I froze in place. A chilling sense of fear washed over every nerve in my body as I silently pleaded for any God to save me but they, too, were silent. All I could do was stand in terror and watch as a grotesque, hulking, monstrosity leapt over the trees and right towards me."

In the 6th century, during the Demonic War, the Lord of Wrath sent this monstrosity to wreak havoc on the peoples of Aeterna. By the time the war had ended, a group of heroes had defeated Kish'lagg. However, the heroes did not destroy its body, and Kish'lagg's essence seemed to live on in death. Now rumours of beastmen worshipping a "God of Beasts" and harassing the people of Halcyon have led the Order of the Immortal Sword to track it down in the hopes of destroying it for good.

Information on Kish'lagg is minimal, as few records from the Demonic War mention the creature. However, the Order knows that the Demon was created by the Lord of Wrath and wants only bloodshed and carnage, always leaving behind trails of brutalized corpses. Kish'lagg is physically strong, but it can also absorb the strength and abilities of the creatures it has slaughtered, feeding on their tattered remains. The Order surmises that centuries of feeding on magical creatures from the Forest of Dreams may have given it the ability to transfer its power to others, subsequently creating the beastmen.
