History
When the dwarves dug deep beneath their mountain kingdoms, they were surprised to find a race of large, ancient creatures that dwelled there. The dragons were a ruling force in the Underdark, lording over their cavernous lands and enslaving the lesser creatures. The dwarven incursion caught the dragons' attention, and they saw great potential in using these new visitors. For the promise of vast riches, the dragons had tricked the dwarves and used dark magic to transform these dwarves into the first Dragonborn. The dwarves that delved into the Underdark never returned to their kingdom, and the Dragonborn made their way out to settle aboveground so that one day their draconic lords would rise from their caves and enslave the mortal races.
