Augustina is quite the extraordinary person when it comes to knowledge. She knows a lot of things about life outside of wealth. She's seen a lot of things and the incredible amount of wisdom and knowledge she possesses seems to have aged her beyond her years. She tries to live her life as simple as possible and doesn't like getting involved in politics. Not that she would have any big influence in the first place. Her status isn't the best.
She's married to Alexander Equitus whom she married out of love. Their story is quite an interesting one if I may say. One thing is for sure though, he changed her life.

She used to teach poor children on the streets who didn't know how to read or write during her journey through the country. It started with just one and then over time she taught more and more. She found her passion for being a teacher over time. When she got pregnant with Sophia and settled down, she decided to seek employment at the ruler of Iliakos. Since then she teaches the nobility.

For Sophia, it sometimes feels like Augustina missed too big of a part of her life. Augustina is a wonderful mother, but she can be quite logical thinking and demanding. She loves Sophia but doesn't treat her with the same tenderness and kindness that Chloe displays. She also travels quite a bit even though it's not nearly so bad as her father whom Sophia practically never sees.
