Ashfall
Ashfall is the entry point by land to Vanreth from the west. A stoppoing point for caravans, traders, and mercenaries, Ashfall has a huge industry of business and trade. It's made House Ashwell quite wealthy, and the town itself is prosperous. Ashfall sees quite a bit of smoke and ash from the nightlands, granting it the name. There are hotsprings running in places near it, gysers due to the local volcanic activity. At the center of Ashfall is a public hot springs for use. Ashfall is known for it's accomadations and bits of tourism, as they try to get traders to stay longer. Statues, historical sites, and night life keep people here for longer.
Ashfall was historically run by House Highrun while Ashwell managed the territory, however in recent years Highrun has token Orelin and Ashfall has come under control of the minor house Wheatscar. This is mostly been a success, though Wheatscar was more known for their farming than anything and it's been a slow transition to control of a major settlement.
