Half-Moon Bay
This trade center is not much of a city but more of giant series of warehouses and docks where goods are stored, traded, sold and prepped for travel inland.
Most goods bound for the stone forest come here first for inspection and to take advantage of the Great Road and the protection it provides on the way to GreatTree.
There is not much you can't find to buy in Half-Moon Bay, just be careful you're not one of the things bought or sold here. The thieves guild runs rampant here and you get as much justice as you can afford.
Locations in Half-Moon Bay
Goldfinder Auction House - This auction house was founded not very long after the founding of the Half-Moon Bay. The process to get your goods out of the Bay can get complicated so Batrice Goldfinder decided to open a place where people can sell their goods without even leaving the Bay. The Auction house now operates as a place where merchants and others can buy and sell goods without ever having to leave Half Moon Bay
Central Intake Building - This is where every ship captain has to check in and submit their manifest and schedule a time for inspection. All goods must be inspected before they can be stored or offloaded.
This is where all new ships are registered and where all the government business is taken care of in Half-Moon Bay.
The Overflow - This Market spans a large part of the main exit road out of the city. This market is where any confiscated goods that are seized by the local government for outstanding debts are sold. This is also where any desperate merchant who needs to offload their goods can come and sell them.
Sentinel of Orland - This giant construct was built for Half-Moon Bay by an unknown mechanist. It was commissioned by Orland Anvilbreaker so it was named after him. The Construct can be activated in times of war or invasion. It takes a crew of 5 dwarves to operate the construct.
Glittering Isles Trade Embassy - This building is where the coalition of Captains from the glittering isles run most of their trade out of. The Coalition is one of the largest trading companies in the known world and they wield a lot of power in Half-Moon Bay.
Sailors Union Headquarters - The sailors union was formed after the great riots 10 years ago. The union was formed to make sure that honest sailors were not captured and sold into slavery. Ironically enough the riots and subsequent government reforms after them outlawed slavery all together. Now the guild mainly focuses on making sure any sailors who need work get it.
Dock Workers and Porters Union Headquarters - This union was formed shortly after the sailors union and is now one of the most powerful organizations in the city.
