337-123 Cobblestones and Coin #2

In the City League

Spans the dates in Cerwyn calendar from 337 - Brth - Tarmen - Avann (337 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 123) to 337 - Brth - Tarmen - Obrerra (337 - 2 - 5 - 7 - 127). The weather during this period is clear blue skies, little wind on most days, but the temperature is wavering between 8-12C, making it feel a bit chill in the shadows.
The party find themselves afforded a rare luxury — one of Elsinore’s fine carriages, its lacquered frame and plush interior a far cry from the worn boots of recent days. As the wheels clatter over the cobbled streets, there is laughter and the glint of newly earned coin, spirits high with the promise of rest and reward.   Their journey brings them once more to the Oakendust Warehouse — now a familiar stronghold — where rooms and provisions await at no cost, though all are aware such generosity will not last forever. Over the next four days, the companions take the chance to see to the ordinary matters of life: repairing gear, re-supplying, or simply enjoying the comforts of a full plate and a warm bed.   Yet even in this lull, opportunities stir — a new blade, a finer suit of armour, or some trinket of use for trials yet to come. In the quiet hours, choices are made that may shape the road ahead.   Restocking and provisions for basics:
  • Arrows and bolts from the Weapon Designers Workshop - 7 in Westmeet Square - 1. 5CP per arrow, 1SP per bolt.
  • Blades sharpening at same place, 1CP for sharpening.
  • Wineskin refill from any tavern 2SP.
  • Also assume over the course of the 4 days, each character spends 2SP in total of just additional extras.
Stuff to sell (sale value in brackets):
  • From the bandits: Stone pendant (1CP), small gold ring inscribed Tianna (5SP), plain silver ring (2SP), gold pendant (5SP)
  • Triskelion loot - the chest itself (5SP)
  • From the bandits: 2 short swords (3GP each)
Stuff to value (sale value offered in brackets):
  • From the bandit's box: a ruby (80GP) & an emerald (40GP). Will the dwarves keep these?
  Stuff to retain:
  • From the bandits: 4 daggers = the fighters (Matrox, Asus & Suilven for sure) I think should take these and each carry 2, especially useful in towns when not carrying other weapons as they can then be used in both hands. Leaving 1 spare for Suzi?

  • Content with current gear and provisions.
  • Eager to travel and remain with his companions.

Matrox
  • Ready to depart the city by boat with the group.
  • Seeking better armour – practical for daily wear but not too heavy. What is outcome (see Asus upgrade).
  • Will stock up on arrows and have weapons sharpened.

Suilven
  • Committed to the group as former caravan master.
  • Spending downtime in the merchants' quarter, gathering intel on routes and brigand activity.
  • Supportive of Zalman holding the map for XP purposes.

Suzi
  • Feels secure and prosperous within the party.
  • Uses time to train with the Thieves’ Guild and build connections with the Basilisks street gang.
  • Mentoring younger gang members, honing skills and expanding underworld ties.

Zalman
  • Remains with the party for safety and shared purpose.
  • Purchased spell components, arrows, and refilled his wine skin.
  • Holds a strong desire to learn more about arcana, history, and spells.
  • Currently holds the map and note from Elsinore, and receives XP credit for each.
  • Exploring opportunities to invest in businesses tied to the caravan route.
All signs point to the party preparing for their next journey together. Equipment is in order, alliances reinforced, and coin carefully weighed. The road — or river — ahead beckons.
