Selûne

The goddess of the Moon, Selûne is both beautiful and free-spirited. She delights in song and beauty and wishes to bring all under the light of her moon. Selûne is a mother to all and sees the elf and the outcast as the same, she sees mortals as her adopted children and seeks to wash away misery with food and joy. Though she is the creator of elves, she has never shown favoritism between them and any of her other followers, for Selûne presents an example of love to all.

For most beings she is a source of guidance, leading both in a spiritual sense as well as a literal sense for those like sailors who rely on the moon for guidance. It is said that Selûne turns none away and sees the good in all and for those who have no good, she imparts it to them. Of all the Deities of Purpose, she is the most forgiving and requires her followers to be forgiving in kind, always offering a second chance.

For all her love and joy, Selûne is still the goddess of the moon and her mood can shift with the phases. Woe to those who anger the goddess of purity, for she will not suffer the innocent to be set upon, nor the lost to be led astray. The suffering of Selûne's people affect her deeply and her judgments can be swift and decisive.
