The Arvalis

The Arvalis is a holy relic given to the kings of Alda, unlimited in its power. It was given by God with a certain purpose in mind, but the Keeper can choose how to wield that power. For instance, the very first Keeper used it to prosper the land of Alda, by increasing the lands harvests and in turn the wealth, influence, and power of the Aldar. But the first use of the Arvalis was to completely vaporize Emperor Falvor and his armies. Later, another Keeper uses the Arvalis to utterly decimate an entire continent in order to effectively stop a great war and establish peace throughout the whole world. Each Keeper has used its power to prolong their lives, living up to hundreds of years.
Because of the Arvalis' immense power, it can't be passed on to just anyone. Each Keeper is charged with protecting the world and keeping peace among the nations. This essentially bars the user from just destroying the whole world in the blink of an eye. It also means they can't just rain down money from the sky and make everyone rich because this would cause chaos and anarchy. Although it's infinite in power, the consequences of how it is used in reality are very real and each Keeper needs to consider these things before using it for anything. This is part of the training every Keeper goes through.
