Divine Palace of SkyeKeep

The party first visits SkyeKeep after their fight with Rael in the Temple of Paladine and spending the night in a local inn. When they take Cara to SkyeKeep, they meet Grand Keeper Ghallus and must say goodbye to her. Ghallus makes a grand and ominous entrance, giving off the impression that not all is right, but that he is not a man to be messed with, he exudes power. The party visit the palace a couple weeks later after Triss has gone missing and ask for help, Ghallus gives them their own ship and crew (the captain/engineer being Farrus). After this, the party doesn’t go to Skyekeep again until the end of the second act where they storm the palace by air and fight Ghallus. It is during this time that Ghallus is killed by Rael and the party flees via Cara’s teleportation, not to be seen again for a few years.

Architecture

Skyekeep was built by Keeper Morra in ancient times past. In all, it is a magnificent and lordly palace, filled with every extravagance and wonder. Every Keeper that has taken residence in SkyeKeep has added their own touch and it has been left unchanged. Considered one of the wonders of the world, SkyeKeep is a sight to behold. At the very top of Skyekeep, the Arvalis itself is kept and is displayed as a floating shapeless light. Only the Keeper can look upon it without going blind. When Ghallus is not present in SkyeKeep but is instead out in the world somewhere, the Arvalis is kept with him in the form of an intricate mechanical box. SkyeKeep is surrounded on all sides by lush gardens, planted by an ancient Keeper and maintained by palace staff fulltime.
