Yule

Yule is the final holiday of the season, and for some the holy day of the Raven Queen. Celebrated on the winter solstice, Yule historically was meant to help communities manage through the cold and dark winters of Aerlon by providing a sense of warmth and community on the longest night of the year. Food and gifts are common, as are large communal gatherings.

Those who closely worship the Raven Queen also consider the holiday to be the final hurdle of surviving winter. After Yule the days slowly begin to lengthen, moving the land from a season of death to the spring season of renewal. Her followers take this time to thank her, both for reminding them of their mortality and helping them survive through the season.
