The Charwald

The Charwald, formerly the Outwood, is a forested region in Aeranel Province. Once a lush forest, it was burned during the War of Cinders by the invading Arkhosian military, who had managed to push as far as Newmark before being repelled. Whether the forest was burned in an attempted scorched earth policy, by accident, or for some other reason is unknown.
