Aesgorath, the Concordant Dragon
Aesgorath, the Concordant Dragon, sometimes Asgorath and also called Io, was the first god. He was once the god of creation, balance, dragons, and peace, and was the original patron deity of dragons, dragonborn, and all dragonkind. Though some would call him neutral, Aesgorath encompassed all alignments at once. While he is often given masculine pronouns, he technically also encompasses all genders.
A massive multi-colored dragon, Aesgoroth is said to have been so enormous that the largest and most ancient dragons were smaller than even a single one of his scales. Born before the time before time, birthed within the Elemental Chaos itself, Aesgoroth is responsible for the creation of all reality and gave form and order to the universe.
At the culmination of the First Age, Asgorath was slain while defending the planet of Aeramis from the eldritch being known as Tharizdun, who cleaved the god in half. His two halves then become the gods Bahamut and Tiamat.
Though Aesgorath is dead, some very dragons have discovered the true history of their race and still worship him and his memory. His few followers believe that these small acts of worship may, in fact, be keeping Aesgorath in existence on some small level.
