The common belief is that the brother of Visku sacrificed himself to grant Viksu the power of clairvoyance at the cost of his name and actions being erased from history. After gaining the ability to see the destiny of not only her people, but of all peoples, she vowed to bring any who followed her to everlasting greatness.Depiction

The threads she creates are said to determine not only how a creature is born, but how it lives and dies. The worshipers of Visku take solace in this, believing that their life has a purpose.

Holy Books & Codes
The church derives its lessons and tenants of faith from The Thread, a collection of second had stories of Visku and her brother. These stories have been passed down as word of mouth from follower to follower since the time of Visku herself. They are forbidden to be written down, so stories are typically memorized by Emissaries, the all-male class of the Church of the Bound. Emissaries wear a garment of colorful strings and ropes over their robes known as a quipu help assist with their memory. Each one of the strings are a story of Visku known by the emissary with knots and notches in each string acting as mental reminders for the emissary. Each quipu is unique to each emissary and can only be read by the person who made it.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
There are two major divine symbols used by the Church of the Bound. Most commoners of the church will use a symbol that looks like a spider’s web consisting of five main branches which represents the five domains of Visku. They are connected to gather forming a pentagon-like shape. These symbols are traditionally made from silver but are seen made of many precious stones, wood, and even bones.
The other divine symbol is typically reserved for oracles and emissaries of the church. It consists of a rope or chord that is split five ways at its end. This rope is usually very colorful and contains knots at the end of each split. Since these symbols are normally only used by clergy, they are rarely made of anything but the most basic of ropes and chords.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Visku desires above all else to create a perfect future for her followers. These goals often involve a manipulation of fate of specific creatures or people. It is unknown what the perfect future looks like for Visku or how far off it is. Visku’s ability to control the fates of others grows with as more worship her, so many of the clergy encourage members to volunteer in their communities as well as send relief to cities or towns that have seen a recent disaster natural or otherwise.
