Kimmel's Sink
Kimmel's Sink is a small farming village that used to be a suburb of Bitterguard Keep before the keep fell into disrepair under the giants. Once Bitterguard Keep fell into disrepair (after the First Nobsplat Uprising), the town went largely unnoticed, since it was more of a loose conglomeration of farms than a real town, and it was fairly distant from the actual keep. It was called Trilme then.
The actual town known as Kimmel's Sink didn't actually form until recently, when a sinkhole opened beneath the farm of Old Kimmel. He survived, and nobody was really hurt, but the oddity destroyed most of his farm and drew the farmers' attention in the region. All Old Kimmel had left was a bunch of barley barrels so he turned them into a variety of alcoholic beverages and sold them from the half of his farmstead that had not fallen into the sinkhole.
This was wildly successful, and he changed his career to that of a bartender. The resulting traffic turned the area surrounding the Sinkhole into a lively town where the farmers go when they aren't farming. Occasionally strange things come out of the hole, but for the most part it hasn't caused any real trouble. Only one person has been dumb enough to explore the hole, the town drunk, and he was gone for 3 months and when he returned he had gone somewhat mad. Since then, there is always a guard posted to watch the hole and make sure nothing comes out (or that nobody else goes in). But this is really more of an advertisement technique than anything else.
