Primal Vice

The raw and driving force of selfishness, impurity, and chaos in the universe

Primal Vice is one of the three original forces that existed aimlessly in the cosmos. The others being Primal Genesis and Primal Virtue.
Primal Vice holds no direct power to create on its own, however it does have the immense power of corruption. Together with Primal Virtue, Primal Vice added sentience, free will, and urgency to the realm that Primal Genesis had created. Along with this, they also added magic, in order for the mortals in the realm to have the power to shape it to their will.
Primal Vice is said to embody the spirit of immorality, wickedness, selfishness, chaos, and depravity. Similarly to Primal Virtue being seen as the parent of the The Elysians, Primal Vice is seen as the parent of the The Chthonic.
Once influenced by Primal Genesis, Primal Vice is said to have taken physical form, and is now regarded as the Lower Planes of the universe. The now home and prison of the Chthonic gods, Primal Vice is said to influence every creature who has a soul. Calling and beckoning them to exert their will on the world by force, and to take without remorse of those they are taking from.
Although Primal Vice is often demonized as a force for evil, many mortals do not see that as the case. Many see vice as something to be overcome, a challenge that makes life worth living. One cannot have free will without the ability to choose a path, and Primal Vice offers a path that is not given by any other primal force. Other circles see Primal Vice as necessary to balance the forces in the universe, since there can be no life in pure light or pure darkness.
