Kiltsune the Lady Rose is the divine goddess of beauty, love, hedonism, joy, and passion. She is characterized as a caring benevolent figure, with a lot of love for her followers. Additionally, she is sometimes seen as a vain Deity, one who enjoys both prayer and flattery equally.
Kiltsune is a goddess whose depiction is often subject to interpretation. People and cultures have described her in a myriad of different ways. Dark, light, gold skin. Sky-blue, forest-green, ruby-red eyes. There are just a few of the popular descriptions of Kiltsune. Despite all these contradictions, there are two aspects of her that remain constant throughout every depiction. She always possesses unworldly beauty, and she always has wild red hair, that seems to assume the form of flames. This hair is often seen decorated with a series of roses.
The followers of the Lady Rose wish to bring beauty to the world in whatever ways they can. Be it through art, poetry, or even wines. Social by nature, her followers love sharing stories of romance at first sight. The more serious of her followers instead seek to root out all that is horrific and destructive in order to keep that which is joyful and lovely safe. Temples to Kiltsune are beautifully decorated with jewels and always have an intoxicating aroma. These temples are often social salons, places to treat oneself in honor of the Lady Rose. Some may even offer cosmetic items for those who cannot afford it themselves. They are often built on bustling cities, and quickly become popular places for relaxation and comfort.
It is common knowledge that Kiltsune was not an original creator Deity. Instead, she ascended to godhood and was initially a mortal. Myths of this ascension vary through cultures. The prevailing myth is as follows, while she was alive, Kiltsune was the most beautiful creature to have walked the land. To the point that travelers would include a visit to her town on their journey, just to see such a gorgeous woman. Some were even devout enough to begin to pray to Kiltsune, despite her being a mortal. This act had enraged the other Deities, who saw Kiltsune as a possible threat. Knowing that smiting her would cause an outrage and possibly be worse, the Deities instead chose to gift her divinity. Choosing to make her an ally rather than an enemy was the smartest move they thought, and so Kiltsune the Lady Rose joined the Elysians.
The Lady Rose has a close friendship with Lylarus the Cryptheart. Both Elysians are pillars for the finer things in life, such as wine, hedonism, and art. Having such similar domains, one would think that they would see each other are rivals, but instead both see each other as fellow artists and true paragons of what makes life worth living. This friendship goes all the way down to their acolytes, who work closely together and are more willing to trust one another than those of different faith.
Kiltsune's other relationship among the Elysians is much stranger than her friendship with the Cryptheart. The Lady Rose seems to have an estranged love affair with Ezstus the Stormcrown. Since she first ascended, Kiltsune has been infatuated with the Stormcrown, since she sees him as the peak male specimen. The feelings are not exactly mutual, as Ezstus seems to be far more preoccupied by the concept of war, and its ever changing forms. Despite his stubbornness and cluelessness about the situation, Kiltsune is convinced that one day her and Ezstus will be together, and waits patiently for that day to arrive.
