Gates

Not a true district unto themselves but worth mentioning nonetheless are the gates of Estea: The North Gate is located on the north-western point of the inner city, and is the point of entry for most travelers visiting Estea. It opens into the center of the Stained Doors district. The Colourful Shades hosts the East Gate, commonly used by farmers and other laborers who live in the Shades and work in the Outer City. On the other side of the city, behind the Glass Towers, lies the Royal or Grand Gate, which is off-limits to the public and leads to the walled-off Glass Garden. In an emergency all of the gates can be closed, cutting off access to the Inner City.
