Mk-JF1 Cicada
Nydonian: X-TT1 царцаа (Tsartsaa)
Propulsion
1 primitive 2 spool jet turbine engine, one of the very first of its kind, propels the JM1. A hole in the nose of the plane allows air to be fed directly into the turbine which is centered on the rear airframe of the craft. The brand new technology used in the creation of this engine leads to many inefficiencies, but overall it was revolutionary to aeronautical innovation. While the turbine takes quite a while to get up to speed (often times leading to the plane getting off the ground a mere dozen or so yards before the end of the runway), it still provides an impressive amount of thrust to get the heavy aircraft off the ground.
Weapons & Armament
One centered 30mm gun located directly in front of the pilot fired at 300 rpm and feeds from a drum of 300 rounds. Off to both sides of the main gun and rotated at 45° are two double 20mm cannons, each firing at 700 rpm and feeding from its own 700 rounds drum. All of the rounds the plane carries are high explosive to deal maximum damage to enemy aircraft or the occasional infantry on the ground.
