Ambergard- Capital of Thira
Located in the center of the country, Ambergard is the heart of the nation. Built around the Buckwell Basin, where the four rivers meet, it is the central location for almost everything.
The Wolfshire Palace has been the primary residence of the Thirian Royal Family for nearly 1000 years. Along with the Parliament House and the Great Court.
On top of being the seat of government, Ambergard is the center for art, entertainment, and education. The Celestial Library is the biggest in the country and one of the biggest and most ornate in the world. The Academy is Thira's main University and Military school with renowned programs including, but not limited to, science, sorcery, art, architecture, and diplomatic studies.
As a defensive measure, there are thick, high walls surrounding the city. Guard watch towers were placed at each of the four gates as well as strategic points in between. If the country were ever attacked, the city would act as a safe haven for the surrounding villages.

Points of interest
- The Lunar Colosseum is the main sports arena. It can be transformed for any spectacle. A team of sorcerers cast enchantments around the floor of the arena so it can transform on command. The floor can rise and fall as needed. It can be flooded for assorted aquatic sports. Gladiatorial battles, races, and jousts are also popular events.
- The Firefly Opera House is the home of the Monarch's Players- the official theatrical troupe sponsored by the sitting monarch. It is an open theater that can be magically covered in the event of bad weather.
- Basin Park- a large park surrounding the Buckwell Basin, a large lake where the four main rivers meet from the sea. Over the years, walking paths were created. It is also a wildlife sanctuary.
