Wetmin Family
Family History
Elves are often associated with nature and peace, two things the Wetmin family has sought to bring the world in their safe haven of Wetminst. Peace has not always been the case for the elves, though the stories they have of the dark ages are only passed down through word of mouth. The Emerald Forest is unnaturally lush, and perhaps supernaturally peaceful though none would reproach the elves if that were the case. The Wetmin family are known to be warriors of old, teaching and passing on their 'dead' ways much to the laughter of many in Atrumi. Their abilities to help nature grow have often been questioned by the Church, as well as the elves 'unaturally' long lives. There is much curiosity as to why the Wetmin family has only ever aligned closely with the lesser noble Silvermoon family despite having marital ties to the Linus family, family of First Empress Ellsie C. Linus, and having marital ties to a "daughter of the Empire", Davina T. Atrum. Wild stories circulate about both marriages, from tragic lovers to arranged marraiges, to whispers of the women being 'stolen away'. The family has never released any public statments and maintains a neutral attitude towards all families except for times when their alliance to the Silvermoon family is questioned. It is then that Orock M. Wetmin has always countered:
"When my world was naught but darkness, Triss offered me the moon. How else could I ever show my love but by treating our families as the stars." - Orock Wetmin
