Fallen From Grace
There are few written records kept about the elves, most of it destroyed in War, but the verbal story tellings passed around paint a dark picture of Orock's history, dotted with light here and there. The elves were conquered in the deadly battle at Chaeu and their lands claimed for the Empire. It is believed that Orock sought to save what was left of his people and brokered a peace treaty with Emperor Victor A. Atrum; though what the treaty details are is a secret likely kept in Tenebris Halls. Orock, with the strength of a fallen warrior, took the small lands he was granted by the Emperor and created Wetminst where his kin could be safe.
Seeking Freedom
Though he lost much in the conquest of his kin, Orock remained a pillar of strength and held to his personal ideals "Grown By Light". Despite the hold the empire attempted to exert over the remaining elves, Orock declined to marry into any of the other noble families. Instead he chose the lesser nobility of his childhood friend Triss M. Silvermoon. This unsettled many throughout the kingdom as the Silvermoon family loyalties are questioned regularly. However, to Orock this mattered very little and he often refers to Triss as "the moonlight that sets me free." Together they have cultivated Wetminst to be a prosperous and beautiful safe haven for their family and all who seek a bit of freedom.
