The Schism of the Sages

Disbandment

The Sages grew more and more opposed to each other on how they should have ended the battle. Tensions were ever rising with no sign of an end, so Zysargia deemed it necessary to take the powers of the Sages and for the Council to disband.

The council of the seven Sages grew farther and farther apart after they defeated the Lord of Chaos.

Photrin, Ironclad and Romerulus believed that they should have continued to fight to kill the Lord and not seal him away where he could return. They wanted Ifris to undo the spell so they could kill the Lord but Ifris, Gabriel and Falcor believed they did the only thing they could do. The Sages fought each other, in a similarly demanding battle pushing themselves to breaking point until Cedarus arrived with Zysargia and tried to break up the fight, but when it was unsuccessful, Zysargia stole the power of the Sages, retrieving the parts of their Souls that were once his. He told the Sages to disband and to never see another Sage that disagrees with them again. Powerless to attack Zysargia, they all complied and parted ways.

Zysargia infused the power he collected into seven gemstones, one for each Sage. He scattered these gemstones throughout Adremesis.
