Royal Admiral
The Royal Admiral is a the highest military rank of Talbury. The holder has full control over both the military and civil soldiers and does not need to confer, confirm, nor request permission from the Mayor first. The rank was depreciated in 134 AFB after the then Royal Admiral attempted a coup using their power. It ultimately failed, and the rank was stripped of all honour or worth. However, in 337 AFB, shortly after Rook Eaglad was elected as city Mayor, he reinstated the Royal Admiral rank. This was not only extremely unexpected but very much disliked by most high-ranking officials or his councillors. He personally granted the rank to his nephew, Thaedrin Eaglad II, who yet retains the title.
Qualifications
While there aren't official demands before being granted Royal Admiral, it's generally expected to have many years of experience commanding soldiers as part of the Talbrian watch.
Appointment
The Mayor, historically, would appoint the Royal Admiral from a group of recommendations. The Mayor can, however, essentially choose whoever they like, regardless of the nominees or advice.

A unique suit of armour is given; it looks similar to a typical Talbrian outfit, however it is coloured mostly white with gold edges, along with a green cape.

If the Mayor deems it necessary for whatever reason, only they can dismantle the role, were it ever to happen again.
