Aleron Médici
It must be so nice to be rich. Maybe one day I’ll be rich too.
The youngest son of the famed Médici family, Aleron has lived his life in the lap of luxury at Médici Manor, the most lavish building in the Noble District. The Médicis are by far the richest noble family in Carandor, and though Aleron is the poorest of them this still makes him a very wealthy man.
In person Aleron is industrious and polite, and always has a new financial shenanigan to try. His father, Edouardo Médici, has given Aleron an expensive education which has left him with surprising financial acuity, but very little knowledge about the concerns of the common folk. He does not know how much a carton of milk costs, but can tell you a lot about the world of agricultural futures or shorts.
Aleron is the Mayor of Wilberdale, but also holds many licenses for ordinary household goods in Golgatha. Some have called him the King of Spoons, for he holds the sole license for crafting spoons in Golgatha.
Aleron is attracted to displays of excess, like gold-plated furniture or a dozen waiters waiting for one man. His dream is to become so independently wealthy that he can waste an entire fortune. Due to being attracted to wastefulness, he’s trapped in endless cycles of saving and spending, never able to accumulate that fortune. But surely his next venture will fix that.
