Tiefling

These planetouched are shunned in many societies because of their bloodline connection to unwanted and mostly evil outsiders, many tieflings have to learn to fend for themselves early on in life.

Physical Description

Tieflings most distinct feature is their horns that prominently sprout from their heads, generally emerging from the top of their forehead. All tieflings have long but thin tails that they have fine control over. Having darker complections, they are easily distinguishable from many races. Tieflings have brown, black, violet, orange or red eye colors, and similar hair colors. Interestingly, tieflings seem to have a shorter lifespan than most, only live to 70 or 80 years, and reaching physical maturity around the age of 14.

Personalities

Of all the planetouched, none are as stereotyped as the tiefling. To a degree, many have fallen prey to this stereotype of being the cheat, cutpurse, or scoundrel, but just as many live their lives free of these vices. Their racial abilities are determinedly helpful for such underhanded professions; those tieflings are usually quite proud of their heritage. Tieflings tend to be ostentatious and aggressive, willing to take calculated risks to accomplish their goals. Known for their cunning intellect, tieflings generally prefer to make elaborate plans. Although they take risks, their risks are known and weighed, a tiefling is rarely rash.

In the World

Having been persecuted for their heritage, few Tieflings can be found in Ruberia, especially in the western regions. In Chromia tieflings are marked as cheats and thieves by the elves, but goliaths hold a very neutral opinion overall. Shatterhelm dwarves absolutely despise tieflings for their connection to their ancestral slavers. These relations lead to tieflings leaving to regions that have a neutral opinion of their race such as Cyrne, Djarin, Xerell, and Azurti.
