Kethix
Kethix is a Descendant Divinity, the Prime Daeomon of the End, the Master of the Path to the Evermore, and the Light for the Lost. Kethix is one of the gods of Abbadon who oversees the Nexus, where all unclaimed souls are drawn to after death. Their rule determines where such souls will be sent to. They often oversee disputes over souls when multiple gods lay claim to a soul.
Daemonic tieflings are claimed by Kethix, bound by blood and fate, an ancient contract, to become psychopomps of the Nexus and manage the souls of the lost. Psychopomps ferry the souls of the dead to the Nexus or help them to become undead should they wish that fate. Undeath is as much a valid ground for souls to live on as Heaven or Hell, though the living rarely agree with such a notion.
Depictions
Kethix is depicted as a scarred androgynous human with golden skin and three wings, with a fourth wing that was obviouslly cut off. Most depictions show Kethix wearing flowing robes that trail into mist and carrying a light of some kind such as a torch, candle, or lantern.
History
Kethix was once an archon, a great general overseeing armies of the Heavenly Host in their eternal war against the lower planes. During a battle with demons Kethix was captured and tortured at the hands of Mannuqar, the demon lord of pain. Kethix was drawn closer and closer to breaking over the course of hundreds of years, the Heavenly Host not even attempting to recover their lost general as they were imprisoned deep in the Abyss.
Before Kethix was broken completely and converted into a demon, Kethix managed to escape. Kethix escaped to Abbaddon, denied entry into the upper planes for the potential demonic contamination now of their soul. Kethix broke their vows to Heaven and set aside the Divine War, but did not desire vengeance. They were no longer an archon, nor were they a demon. Kethix instead became a daemon, a neutral arbiter inside of the Abyss, guiding the lost souls of the world and protecting them from the conflicts of immortals. The worship of their mortal progeny eventually granted them godhood, enabling them to wrest control over a portion of Abaddon and establish the Nexus.
Unlike most Divinities, Kethix was not originally a Fae God, though they still participated in the Divine Wars as an archon under the rule of a now forgotten god.
