Legther

The capital of the Ki Sector

Government

Legther is mainly run by Tolgur Tibris, the Sector Lead of the Ki Sector. Despite having to run the rest of his sector, Tolgur Tibris puts most of his energy into the thirteen major cities in Kinji, leaving his representatives to watch over the rest.
Legther is much busier compared to the rest of the sector, but their "busy" is Currome's silent. Many laws are much loser than it's surrounding cities; things that may seem much more important to the Kinjion, like curfew and privacy, aren't upheld within the capital. Their reasoning? Tolgur Tibris has said in the past that Legther sees the most foot traffic out of all the major cities in Kinji, and to enforce the following of these small guidelines would take lots of unnecessary time and resources. Though, most Kinjion say that Tolgur is trying to modernize Legther to make the Ki Sector more attractive to the outside world by removing their traditional way of life.

Defences

Legther, overall, is a very safe city. Their crime rates are some of the lowest-for a major city-in Adonis, as they are pretty much covered on all sides but the front door. The hollowed-out trees allow for quick cover and easy access to high points, and in most Kinjion schools, archery is a required subject. The Adonisin guardship is posted all around the Sector, but the Kinjion knows that in their time of need, they would easily be able to defend themselves.

Industry & Trade

It is rare to find a wealthy Legthian that actually works within the Sector at all. Many of Legther's wealthiest work in the Teilo sector as shop owners, business heads, etc, and choose to house themselves in Legther because their cost of living is some of the lowest, but most beneficial, in Adonis.
Middle-class Legthians often find themselves in the woodworking industry. While some higher-class folk can also be woodworkers, the Middle-class is highly saturated with trade work. Furniture, engineering, construction; anything that requires a strong hand and a smart mind is typically well-compensated for their work.   Lower-class Legthians, if they work at all, typically are the ones packing the exports, bottling the syrups, and dealing with the ignorant tourists complaining about the locals' way of life. Many lower-class Legthians do know a trade, but due to over-saturation, they couldn't put their knowledge to use. Archers, delivers, authors, and farmers often sit higher-lower-class, but not by much. Over-saturation in the job market is a Sector-wide issue, but isn't nearly as pressing as their cost of living is so low.

Infrastructure

From the forest floor to the tops of the trees, Legther's people spread high to low in the heavily forested mega-city. On the ground, Kinjion resides inside of the bases of massive trees, some big enough to hold entire neighbourhoods of creatures. Using the hollow trees-a very common occurrence in Kinji-their are multiple floors going all the way up the trees, allowing for lookouts at the very top. Elegant bridges and secured branches stretch from house to house up the trees, creating a village amongst the arms of the tree. The wealthier you are, the lower you sit in the tree. The base of the tree allows for plenty of space and quick access to the amenities and protection on the forest floor. It is common that those high up in the trees almost never come down, as easy access to the hanging shops and rooftop gardens almost negate the necessity of going down. The closer you get to the ground, you will also find things get much more expensive. Bases of trees are adorned with sleek, white metals creating outdoor staircases going up to places they would never need to go, glamoured with gold and bronze touches on every step. But, hidden away in the branches up above sits a cheaper, but sturdy way of life. Swing ropes grant access to most major areas, allowing one to ignore the risky bridges begging you to test your luck. Many of the houses are made from the very wood around them, as many creatures rarely opt for walls or rooves under the cover of the trees' leaves.

Assets

Higher up in Legther, it is very rare to see a creature without a "Boatei." The Boatei is a special piece of cloth or leather that is wrapped around the hand, reducing rope burn and allowing for a tighter grip on the swing when venturing across the mile-high city. The Boatei is often a sign of a lower-class creature, as many richer Kinjion reside lower where the need for rope swings are unnecessary. The Boatei is often a piece that is passed down through the family, and discarded only when the holder resides in a house at the base of that tree. The leather boatei is often much more ceremonial, while the cloth is used for children or those who didn't receive one from their family.
Basic amenities in higher-class Kinji usually revolve around food, not just as a basic need for life. High-class Kinjions prefer their crops imported from the land in the Renisan district, a very pricey process, as the Renisan district does not mass produce crops as Nuzar does. Renisan crops can triple the price of even the local crops, but every shipment that arrives in the major shops sell out very quickly. Many higher-class Kinjions also prefer their alcohol from Nuhkuar, their weapons from Temba, and their clothing from Yuesse, but will take death over anything but local furniture. Almost all wood products in Kinji are Kinjion wood, made by the Kinjion creatures.
Basic amenities in lower-class Kinji are often more about warmth, comfort, and really basic, flexible food items. With the lack of walls, the Kinjion creatures rely on the massive leaves of the trees around them to shield them from the cold. Being a relatively chilly Sector, the higher one goes in Legther, the more blankets, coveralls, and gloves are visible. Blankets and drying clothes are hung from the frames of "houses," creating a decent barrier during the night. Most blankets and general warm items are imported from Nuzar-the cheapest way to do so. Flexible, long-lasting food items are also things that the creatures in the higherups rely heavily upon. As shops stock up only once or twice a week, the lower-class has had to come up with methods to make their leftovers last longer. For a unique, different, but energetic taste, tourists are often directed to the higherups for a taste of the local life, though many have said it is really an acquired taste.

There are some hills, but the land around Legther is most dense, flat forests.
