Cataclysm of Flame

The Cataclysm of Flame occurred in 3127 B.A., during the late Age of Wyrms.

It marked the collapse of many ancient Fire Dragon strongholds, libraries, and sanctums—including much of the premodern draconic civilization that once ruled vast volcanic territories. The event was caused by a convergence of internal war among Fire Dragons, unstable volcanic magic, and a backlash from primordial forces trying to reclaim the balance of fire and frost.

Ashvek, the Keeper of the Molten Library, is believed to be one of the few surviving elders from that age—having fled into the deeper vaults of Emberfall before the Cataclysm fully consumed the surface world.
