• Wingspan of up to 12 feet, allowing them to glide effortlessly on turbulent updrafts.
• Feathers with a metallic sheen, resistant to static buildup from the Everstorm, preventing them from being struck by lightning.
• Hooked beak, capable of tearing through tough hides.

• Masters of Wind Currents – Skyfang Raptors ride storm winds with expert precision, using them to stalk prey from above.
• Apex Aerial Hunters – They feed on smaller birds, storm-dwelling lizards, and even young Stormborn warriors who climb the Thunder Peaks unprepared.
• Solitary or Mated Pairs – These raptors are either solitary hunters or form lifelong mating pairs, fiercely protecting their territories.

• Tamed by the Windcloaks – The Windcloak nomads have, on rare occasions, tamed Skyfang Raptors for messengers, though such bonds are tenuous at best.

Common Myths and Legends

• Some legends tell of the First Stormcaller, a warrior who rode a giant Skyfang Raptor, guiding his people through the Everstorm to safety. It is said that his spirit still soars through the sky, appearing as a shadow in the clouds before great tempests.
• It is believed that a Skyfang Raptor never dies of old age—instead, when it senses its time is near, it flies straight into the heart of the Everstorm, offering itself to the storm gods in a final act of defiance.
