You Should Not Be Here

You blink in surprise. The... amalgamation... before you just spoke. You can't tell from what body part the sound came from, but you know it spoke to you.

You're a strange creature. Your ears are too short to be one of them, but you lack the oddities of those other creatures. Regardless, you have no business being here.

It stretches one of its... arms? out towards you and places it on your head. You feel an involuntary shudder run through your body as its dry, leathery skin makes contact.
Then you feel it. A tugging, pulling sensation. Like something is trying to pull your mind out of your skull. At first the tugging is only mildly forceful, but then it grows in intensity, until it's almost unbearable.

Do not bother resisting.

The voice is more forceful, almost seeming angry.
Finally, the creature pulls its hand off of your head. You could swear its expression has warped into a sneer.

Fine. Your mind is too guarded. But you can still be escorted back to your proper area.

You blink, and find yourself back where you'd come from. No sign of the amalgamation, and no sign that you'd ever left. Did it even happen?
You shrug and return to what you were doing.
