Snow Powder

Snow powder, is a dark powder that when ignited by a heat source, will combust aggressively and release a smoky gas. The instructions detailing its recipe was first discovered in a set of ruins nearby the Burrow, it has since then been adopted for use by the people across the Abyss, such as the Guardians that keep peace, or Adventurers who venture deep down.

Utility

In the hands of skilled practitioners, Snow Powder became an instrument of death. Jade Pistols, forged from rare jade and enchanted mithril, spat leaden defiance, piercing even the most hardened carapace of the beasts that dwell in the Abyss. Thunder Cannons, bellowing with the fury of a celestial dragon, sent shockwaves rippling through monster hordes. Smoke Grenades shrouded entire battlefields in an alchemical miasma, creating confusion and opportunity for ambushes. Also employed frequently by adventurers of the Guild, smoke signals were used extensively during exploration campaigns.

Manufacturing

The creation of Snow Powder was a dance with death, a test of both discipline and ingenuity. Precise ratios of saltpeter, sulfur, and charcoal were painstakingly measured, each movement meticulous to avoid the dragon's fiery breath erupting prematurely. Access & Availability

Its trade restricted by the government for safety purposes, Snow Powder is used in both for commercial and military purposes. A modified form of Snow Powder is used for firework production and smoke signalling that is commercially available.
