The War of the Mad Ones

After the initial nations were founding and their captials built there was peace. In fact there was a great amount of trade and bounty in Absalon. The nations of humans, not accustomed to the use of magic learned many mysteries from the elves. The elves learned much from the humans, such as the art of trade and diplomacy.
One day, the elven nation of Tominathi unleashed their armies against the human Plainsmen. The Plainsmen, caught off guard were almost completely wiped out. They were not prepared for the onslaught of magic.
The Center, the human capital in Absalon, brought together the Aetolian League and the remnants of the Plainsmen to push back. The Center, using their connection with the gods were able to hold back the elves. After the humans began to hold the line against the elves, the diplomatic tactics of the human nations were able to convince the northern dwarves to join in their fight.
With the dwarves pushing back with the humans, the elves lost ground. Incensed, the Alliance continued to fight. They didn't stop until the elven nation of Tominathi was entirely wiped out. Survivors were pushed into Dark Wood, forced to put back the pieces.
After the war many of the elves were brought back to various cities across Absalon as slaves and indentured servants. This prolonged servitude would establish the current prejudice against the elven race. Also, this established the College of Magic, controlling all magic users across Absalon.
After the conflict, this spurred Plainsmen formed a formal tribe structure to help prevent further conflict against them.
