Zhentilar forces dispatch from the Citadel of the Raven and march north to invade Estrya
In 2262, threats from multiple fronts begin to take advantage of Zhentil Keep's weakened state following the decimation of Zhentilar by Cyricist forces. They start probing Zhentarim strength with raids, slowly increasing in frequency and intensity. The Zhentarim struggle to repeal the invaders and decide to strike out to establish a new foothold in Abios in order to secure their survival. After rebuilding their numbers, and Zhentil Keep somewhat, the Zhentarim send their army to invade Estrya. In 2267 they launch their operation from the Citadel of the Raven, traversing the Hungry Slopes and entering Estrya through the eastern border with Aldywnne, officially declaring war.
