Putty explosives are a simple invention involving explosive materials made into a soft, compact material that can stick to objects and be primed, and detonated via a charge from a magical spell or a detonator. A malleable explosive, these items come in exceptionally handy for the rangers of the Altina Militia, who have successfully repelled invasions from the likes of Lyndewn, the Holy Kingdom of Aberway, and even the Blackstone Legion, a superpower from another world. The putty explosives are one of the most handy inventions that they have come up with, and has, thus, become a part of the traditional piece of equopment for all warriors in the Altina Militia. The putty explosives were invented by a travelling scientist in her early years, who'd later become known as the infamous Professor Elara.

Despite being explosive devices, putty explosives are relatively safe to carry, and are not affected in the ways that other explosives are. Dropping putty explosives does not cause them to detonate, and neither does striking it with fire. It requires a burst of direct mana to be activated, or, at least, an electric shock. They can be stored in low amounts, are relatively light, and are easy to use for all levels of experience for the Altina Militia. Some soldiers have tried eating these explosives due to its resemblance to chewing gum, and is believed to have some toxic components.

In order to build an economy for Altina, these explosives were sold en masse to the highest bidder, who, in recent events, has been the Fundamentalist Blackstone Legion, currently in a civil war with the Reformist Blackstone Legion, as well as forces from all over the Wayfarer's Belt. Their role with the fundamentalists ensures their safety for the future.
