Havere - Chapter 1, Session 3 : Does that tail do more than wag?

General Summary

The gang decides to go back to their dilapidated but serviceable property on the Penninusla. After a long rest, they realize they have missed their appointment with Abed Moreau. No bother, they were just trying to get some more money out of him somehow. The gang decides that they should head to the Outer City to see if they can start on fulfilling their contractual duties to Winktod Gasketank. To prepare Findley WickerWeave and Carnival Wilson dress in their "fancy" clothes to see if they can attract any members of The Black Heart.   On the way, the gang hears a loud ruckus a couple of blocks over. When they investigate, they realize that the Church of the Passion is holding an impromptu parade. The perishers are reveling like a "gay pride parade but with fish and sea life costumes." Belinda decides to gather some information by joining the parade. She strips off her top, revels, and speaks to the man nearest to her. The man she finds out is an alcoholic, and now because he's been a member of the Church of Passion for several months is possible a sex addict, too. After some rather akward advances by the man one of which was "does that tail of your do more than just wag back and forth?" he invites Belinda to a recruitment rally (orgy?) in a few days at a square in the Outer City.   While Belinda was doing some reconnaissance, the other members of the gang are watching the proceedings. A nicely-dressed Carnival Wilson bumps into a boy, lets him go, then realized the boy pick-pocketed him for 50 gold. A a different boy tries to steal from an equally finely-dressed Findley, but is noticed. Findley grabs the boy by the arm, and before he can say anything, the boy cries rape and the crowd turns to stare and Findley. Embarrassed at the current situation, Findley lets the boy go. His purse is intact, but not his pride.   The gang eventually gets to the warehouse where Gasketank told them was a known hideout for the Black Heart. The gang decides to scout and stake the place out. Findely turns into a mangy dog and follows a wagon that loaded and unloaded crates from the werehouse to a fancy furniture store in the Inner City. Meanwhile, Belinda summons a spider familiar and Xenia scouts around the building. Using her new spider familiar, Belinda is able to see the interior of the warehouse and see some of the contents of some of the crates - mostly drugs and luxury goods.   The gang creates a plan of attack: Morgan The Pocket Magician casts knock on the front door to unlock it as the rest of the group rushes in and takes care of the boss man and his swashbuckling friend in the office. Findley ties up the swashbucker with an entagle spell and Carnival Wilson and Himo dispatches him. The boss-man Drow, seeing the chaos, tries to cast a darkness spell, but is counterspelled by Morgan. He is quickly pounded near to death by Xenia, Belinda, Himo and Carnival and tries to escape out the door. He pushes Xenia (who is blocking the door) out of the way while screaming for help from the Thugs outside the office. While making his escape, Findley dispatches him with a well-placed dagger to the neck.   The thugs, hearing the cries from their foreman, come to his aid. Belinda casts a fear spell and soon the majority of them are screaming and running away all over the warehouse. The remaining thug attacks Belinda, but Xenia and Morgan come to her aid. Belinda to defend herself draws her Yuan-ti Ceremonial dagger and stabs the thug. He is poisoned, but is still very much alive. With her dominate arm now covered in snake skin, she uses the dagger to do a blood ritual to grant her more power. She slices her snake skin with the knife causing her to bleed. The blood causes additional poison the coat the blade, and she plunges the blade into the thug. The dagger hits a non-critical part of his body, but as the poison courses through his blood, his veins turn green then black. The whites of his eyes darken as his ghost leaves his body which the falls lifeless to the ground.   Meanwhile, Findley casts jump on Himo, and Himo leaps to the second story balcony where archers have a high ground are and shooting arrows at the other gang members below. The archer drops his longbow and draws his shortsword and a dramatic fight ensues.   Carnival Wilson now enraged with the spirit of the battle, runs outside to a secondary door on the south end of the warehouse. He musters all of his strength is is able to break open the door. There he is met by an archer overlooking the southside of the warehouse. Carnval moves underneath the balcony so the archer can't see him, but the archer is crafty and moves to an elevator where he can see the whole southern half of the warehouse. He begins to shoot very well places arrows into Carnival. Every arrow deals mortal blows to Carnival, but Carnival enraged and is no normal mortal. He feels only half of the pain of each arrow. Carnival tries to kill the archer by throwing his weapons at him, but the archer is too shifty, and Carnival only manages to hit him once.   The other archer is now nearly dead from the flurry of blows Himo is giving him. By this time, Findley makes it to the second floor and quickly dispatches a frightened, hiding thug with his shillelagh. He turns his attention to the archer Himo is fighting and decides to help him by knocking the archer off of the balcony. The archer falls to the ground floor, prone, but not dead. Carnival, now having thrown away all five of his javelins and both of his hand axes, temporarily gives up on the archer hes trying to kill, moves to the one who has just fallen, and cleaves him in twain (by the crotch).   Himo, upset that Findley has knocked the archer he was fighting off of the second-floor balcony, turns his attention to the other archer Carnival was desperately trying to kill. He runs to quick-release the elevator the archer is perched upon, and the archer crashes down to the floor. He gets up and tries to run, but Himo slow falls to the first floor and chases after him. Morgan and Xenia attack him at range. But it is Findley who finally knocks him out with his shillelagh after jumping off of the second-story balcony and combat rolling into position.   The party has dispatched the warehouse workers. What will they find in that warehouse?
