Havere - Chapter 1, Session 2: A Contract from Gasketank
General Summary
The gang first checks out their new property on the Penninsula District. It is a run down property that may at one time have served as a tavern of sorts. They meet their across-the-street neighbor - Jean-Luc Decard - who runs the general store across the street. He warns them that proper renovations should go through the local guilds who regulate construction efforts around town.
The gang delivered the letter to Lileth Andelval. After reading the letter, and interrogating the party, she admits that she is part of a secret organization dedicated to peace in the world and defense against cataclysmic events - the Draconic Shield. She recruits them to her cause to try and find a way to stop the kraken from besieging the town. She gives them some leads: first investigate the Church of the Passion, also known as the Cult of the Kraken, and find a way to the Western Isles where they can recruit the help of the Sea Elves there.
While meeting with Lileth, they received a letter from Winktod Gasketank . Requesting an audience with them at his office at the Wat-air-mill Supreme . On their way, they come across some members of the The Black Heart terrorizing some of the local Gnomes. They dispatch them and turn the survivors over to the Harbor Watch.
They continue on, and meet with Gasketank. He offers them a contract to find a way to stop the Black Heart from terrorizing the Gnomes in the city, and offers them 200Gp each if they can get him substantial proof that the Criminal Organization will leave them alone. After negotiating with some of the terms, they accept and sign his contract.
