Dextra moon

A small asteroid orbiting the World and is regarded as a second moon. It is a symbol that represents different aspects in various cultures. For some it is a timekeeping symbol for others a religious one. To some astronomers it is still one of the most intriguing mysteries of the night's sky.

History

Due to it's small size and orbit shape this celestial object only appears in the sky every three years for a period of 3 months before it once again dissapears out of sight. Due to this phenomenon, many cultures incorporated it into their customs, religion and superstition. It was first recorded in some recently uncovered cave paintings from the Redari region of
Aureia . Where it was depicted to have supposedly blessed the children born under it's brief passage. In recent years however, the people of Aureia rejoice and throw ceremonial feasts in honour of the old traditions. Many find it as a good excuse for overindulging in certain hectic activities. Specifically in the Kingdom of Yamnagar, where they organize a two month festival of the loyal moon which always guided their troops during The Great War. Although it has not happened for centuries, astronomers believe that Dextra could create a partial solar eclipse were it to pass in front of the sun. Many historians also speculate it may be linked with the sudden dissappearance of the Ugrani civilization almost two thousand years ago, as deduced from archaeological finds in certain areas.
