Nilheim Library

Nilheim has a small but proud library. Its walls are decorated with art depicting heroes of old and battles the village has won. The battle of White Fire is not included.
The librarian is a middle aged woman with short cropped blonde hair and a slightly crooked nose. Her name isn’t Karen, but it should be. She likes to recommend her favorite books regardless of what patrons actually asked for. Most are trash. In her spare time she studies history and loves to lecture on the topic with heavy bias. She has little tolerance for being interrupted or questioned. The “glorious” battles of her Vanirheim raider ancestors are her favorite subject. Though she herself has never seen battle and has no stomach for blood or the macabre, not that she would admit it of course.
There was a book here, old and now collecting dust, stuffed underneath a book shelf said to hold secrets of the town, and to be haunted by an Alip.
