The Myth of Creation

Long before the world of Deuslair took its current form, two primordial deities shaped its existence: Chaos and Order. Together, they willed the world into being, a harmonious dance of creation and structure. Chaos poured life and passion into the land, creating vibrant ecosystems and dynamic landscapes. Order followed, giving purpose to every creation—naming the plants, shaping the rivers, and assigning roles to each living being. Thus, the world flourished in balance.
However, this harmony could not last. A fierce battle erupted between Chaos and Order, a cosmic conflict that scarred the world. Chaos, unrestrained and wild, sought unending creation, while Order demanded structure and limits. Mountains crumbled, seas boiled, and the sky itself seemed to split as the two deities clashed. In the end, Chaos was banished to its own realm, its power sealed by the fragments of Order's essence scattered across Deuslair. Yet, this victory came at a great cost: Order succumbed to its wounds and fell into an eternal slumber.
Before retreating into sleep, Order entrusted the Yv’anda Dryads with the sacred duty of remembrance. These ancient beings, tied to the Oldest Tree at the heart of Banewood Asylum, were tasked with preserving the world's history and ensuring that the balance of creation would not be forgotten. The Dryads planted their memories into the roots of the Oldest Tree, an act of devotion that continues to this day.
Chaos, though banished, left behind a final act of defiance: the creation of humans. Born without a clear purpose or constraints, humans were the unshaped children of Chaos. They thrived where Order’s structure could not bind them, their ambition and creativity setting them apart from other beings. This unshackled potential became both their greatest strength and the source of countless conflicts to come.
Deuslair remains a world shaped by the echoes of this divine conflict. The tension between Chaos and Order lives on in its people, its landscapes, and its ever-changing history, inviting those who dwell within it to find their own paths amidst the remnants of a godly struggle.
