Aran the Infernal

Among the blackened walls of the Smoldering Anvil, where fire and steel meet in a never-ending dance, one name is spoken with both reverence and cautionAran the Infernal. A master of heat-tempered steel, his work is legendary, his methods as relentless as the forge itself. To wield one of his blades is to carry a weapon that will never dull, never break, and never forgive.

The Master of the Forge

Aran is a towering figure, his scarred hands blackened from years of toil, his eyes burning with the reflection of endless flames. Unlike other blacksmiths who rely on technique alone, Aran wields fire as both tool and weapon, shaping steel with bare hands that seem untouched by heat. Some say he was born within the flames, others that he bargained with a forgotten god of fire for his skills.

Weapons That Endure

Every blade Aran crafts is a masterpiece, but few are worthy of his work. Those who seek a weapon from him must prove themselves, for he does not forge steel for the weak. His most infamous creations include:

  • The Ashfang – A sword that grows hotter with every swing, searing flesh and bone alike.
  • The Black Sun Spear – A weapon tempered in volcanic heat, said to drink in the light around it.
  • The Emberbrand Gauntlets – Infused with fire runes, these allow warriors to strike with the force of a burning forge.

A Temper as Fierce as His Steel

Though respected, Aran is not an easy man to deal with. His rage is as legendary as his skill, and many an apprentice has been sent away in shame after failing to meet his expectations. But those who endure his trials, who withstand the heat and emerge stronger, earn more than just a blade—they earn a legend.

"Fire does not care if you are worthy. Fire simply burns. Be steel, or be ash."
